Texas Instruments-ISRO partnership delivers critical tech for NISAR mission

US-based Texas Instruments (TI) semiconductors joins a growing list of private companies that are working with ISRO for its NASA-ISRO synthetic aperture radar (NISAR) satellite, which was launched into orbit earlier this month.Ā Ā
NISAR is equipped with TIās radiation-tolerant products that enable designers to maximise power density, precision and performance in their satellite systems. It will improve the satellitesās power management, high-speed data transfer, and precise signal sampling and timing capabilities, the company said in a release.
The company alsoĀ supplied critical electronics for ISROās NISAR mission, including power modules, high-speed data converters, precision timing systems, and interface technology, together enabling sharper radar images, ensuring reliable subsystem communication, and advanced S-band synthetic aperture radar capabilities in the satellite. Its launch culminates a decade-long partnership between TI and ISRO.Ā
