Cotton yarn prices in Mumbai and Tiruppur remained stable despite weak demand following the US’ 50 per cent tariff on garment imports.
Traders reported sluggish festival season sales, with mills reluctant to cut prices but offering selective discounts.
In Gujarat, cotton demand was also subdued as mills reduced buying.
Shankar-6 cotton was quoted at ₹57,500–57,700 per candy.
