India’s polyester, viscose yarn prices rise on costly fibre; demand up

India’s manmade fibre yarn market saw price increases in polyester and viscose due to costlier raw materials, with leading producers raising fibre rates by ₹1.5–2 per kg.
Yarn prices in Ludhiana, Surat, and Mumbai rose accordingly, with bright polyester and viscose yarn in stronger demand.
Meanwhile, cotton prices in north India continued to fall.
