Defence PSU Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has posted a net loss of ₹64 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to ₹70 crore loss in the same quarter last year. 

The revenue for the quarter stood at  ₹634 crore. The PSU has an order book of ₹14,429 crore, of which ₹3,982 crore are executable in this fiscal.

The company also notified the exchanges that it bagged an order from Integral Coach Factory to manufacture, supply, testing, and commissioning of complete fully functional LHB coaches with a value of ₹1,888 crore.

Recently, BEML has laid the foundation stone for its rail manufacturing facility, BRAHMA, at Umariya, near Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. BEML plans to invest ₹1,800 crore in the next few years in a phased manner to set up the integrated manufacturing unit. This rail manufacturing unit in Bhopal is projected to generate over 5,000 employment opportunities over the next five years.

The shares of the company closed at ₹3,955.10, up by 2.54 per cent on the BSE.
