Adult Swim Icon Space Ghost Is Getting a Season Two

Whether you first discovered Space Ghost through the 1960s or 1990s TV series or the modern-day comic revival, there’s exciting news for fans: Dynamite Entertainment’s Space Ghost is about to embark on an all-new chapter, effectively delivering the season two fans have been waiting for.
Space Ghost first debuted in his self-titled animated series on CBS in 1966, which ended after only one season. The 1990s brought a major comeback when Cartoon Network revived him in Space Ghost Coast to Coast (1994–2008), a satirical late-night talk show where he “interviewed” real celebrities with former villains such as Zorak and Moltar as his staff.
The 90s show shifted Space Ghost from superhero to comedic talk show host and is largely credited with pioneering the groundwork for Adult Swim.

Space Ghost Vol. 2 Marks a Bold New Beginning
Key Characters Returning From Volume One and the Annual
Pepose has disclosed the reasoning for the creative team deciding to launch with a new number one issue, rather than adding on numerically to volume one. He explained that Space Ghost #1 (Vol. 2) “very much is meant to really delineate a new storyline.” Hence, a fresh starting point makes sense and also allows fans to dive right in.
However, fans are strongly encouraged to check out the first volume as well as the annual, since both featured major developments and the introduction of new characters who will play pivotal roles in volume two. Among those returning is Tempus, the Time Master, who will serve as one of the primary antagonists of the new storyline going forward.
Additionally, Dr. Henry Contra, who is Jan and Jason’s maternal grandfather, will also be returning for volume two. Therefore, to get the best reader experience, it’s highly recommended to read the first volume and the annual. With volume two having officially launched, now is the perfect time for fans to binge Space Ghost.
