FIR Filed Against Sanjay Leela Bhansali Over Alleged Fraud And Misbehaviour During Rajasthan Shoot
Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s highly anticipated film, Love & War, has found itself in legal trouble. According to the latest reports, an FIR has been filed against the celebrated filmmaker and two of his team members in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The complaint was lodged by a line producer who was working on the film’s production.
The news comes as a shock, as the film, which boasts a stellar cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is currently one of the most awaited projects in Bollywood.
What Are The Allegations?
According to reports, the FIR was filed on Monday by a man named Prateek Taj Mathur. He has accused Sanjay Leela Bhansali and two producers from his team, Arvind Gill and Utkarsh Bali, of several serious charges, including fraud, misbehaviour, breach of trust, and criminal intimidation.
In his complaint, Mathur claims that he was hired as a line producer for the film’s shoot in Rajasthan. He alleges that after he made all the necessary arrangements and dealt with various government departments for permissions, his contract was suddenly cancelled, and he was removed from the project without being paid for his work. He also claims that when he tried to meet the team at their hotel, they misbehaved with him.
Police Investigation Is Underway
The FIR was officially lodged at the Bichhwal police station in Bikaner. The police have confirmed that they have registered a case based on Mathur’s complaint and that an official investigation into the matter is now underway.
So far, there has been no official statement or reaction from Sanjay Leela Bhansali or his production house regarding these allegations. As the investigation proceeds, more details are expected to emerge.

This legal issue has cast a shadow on what is expected to be one of the biggest films of 2026. Love & War is described as an epic saga that brings together three of the industry’s finest actors for the first time under Bhansali’s direction. There is already a huge buzz that the makers might unveil a first look or a teaser on Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday, September 28th. The film is currently slated for a theatrical release in March 2026.
