Vietnam’s index of industrial production expands 8.6% in Jan-Jul 2025
The manufacturing and processing sector continued to be the primary driver of industrial growth, expanding by 10.3 per cent YoY and contributing 8.5 percentage points to the overall IIP.
Provinces reporting industrial growth include Vinh Long (up by 4.5 per cent YoY), Quang Ngai (up by 3.7 per cent YoY), Dong Nai (up by 3.5 per cent YoY) and Ho Chi Minh City (up by 3.4 per cent YoY), an NSO release said.
Vietnam’s index of industrial production rose by 8.6 per cent YoY between January and July this year.

Some localities, such as Quang Ninh (down by 3.9 per cent YoY), Da Nang (down by 2.5 per cent YoY), Bac Ninh (down by 1.8 per cent YoY) and Hai Phong (down by 0.6 per cent YoY), saw drops.
