Thermo Fisher Scientific, the US-based provider of scientific instrumentation, reagents and consumables and software services, will be setting up two major facilities in Genome Valley, Hyderabad, both set to open by year-end 2025. 

The Bioprocess Design Centre (BDC), being developed in partnership with the Telangana Government, will provide expertise in bioprocessing and process scale-up to accelerate development of life-changing therapies. 

The Customer Experience Centre (CEC) will showcase advanced instrumentation and workflow solutions across molecular biology, proteomics, clinical diagnostics, cell and gene therapy among others. Subject matter experts will support method development, technology adoption and industry upskilling.

This was announced by the company at the Biopharma Conclave 2025 here. “India’s biopharma sector is poised for a giant leap, and we are deeply committed to enabling that outcome,” Tony Acciarito, President, Asia Pacific & Middle East, Africa, Thermo Fisher Scientific, said in a release.
