While that sounds like a lot to take in, the story essentially revolves around a group of scientists who make contact with an alien race. Fans of classic Spielberg movies like Close Encounters of the Third Kind and War of the Worlds will certainly find some similar aspects and extraterrestrial concepts to appreciate in 3 Body Problem.

Netflix’s 3 Body Problem is co-created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the prolific minds behind HBO’s Game of Thrones, as well as Alexander Woo of True Blood and The Terror acclaim. It’s an adaptation of the renowned novel The Three-Body Problem by Chinese writer Liu Cixin, which is part of the author’s 3-part Remembrance of Earth’s Past book series.
