Telangana girls storm into Sub-junior Nationals Semifinals

Hyderabad: Telangana created history by becoming the first team from the Telugu-speaking states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to reach the semifinals of the Sub-junior National Girls Football Championship in Narainpur (Chhattisgarh) on Thursday.

Telangana defeated Uttarakhand 4-1 in the league match to seal their spot in the last four, with Harini Yadav (36th minute) scoring the opener and Theerta Sandeep netting a hat-trick in the 41st, 43rd and 55th minutes.
