Sri Lanka's garment exports rise 8.9% to $2.4 bn in Jan-Jun 2025

Sri Lanka’s garment exports rose by 8.9 per cent to $2.4 billion in January–June, while overall textile product exports reached $2.6 billion, accounting for over half of the country’s industrial exports.
Garment exports grew in June, though textile shipments dipped.
Imports of clothing and accessories surged by over 33.2 per cent over the first half of the year.
