South India’s cotton yarn market remains weak as slow demand, cash crunch and US tariff worries pressure trade.
Prices in Mumbai fell ₹3–4/kg, while Tiruppur saw muted buying despite duty-free cotton imports.
Spinning mills gain relief from lower input costs, but downstream demand remains sluggish, limiting any immediate revival in the textile value chain.
