The winners of the 71st National Film Awards were announced today (August 1). It has been the best moment for all the fans today as their superstar has won his first big award. Yes, Shah Rukh Khan has bagged his first National Film Award for his performance in Jawan. He won the Best Actor in a leading role award. This news has left everyone surprised. His fans are celebrating this moment like a festival and have been congratulating their star. Other celebrities have also been showering love on SRK for his big win. Many feel that the actor should have won this honour long back. Now, as he won the big award, the actor has shared a heartfelt video thanking everyone.
Shah Rukh Khan’s heartfelt half hug
He shared a video on his social media and said, “Needless to say overwhelmed with gratitude and humility. To be honoured with a national award is a moment that I will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you so much to the jury, the chairman and Information and Broadcasting Ministry and to everyone who thought I was worthy of this honour.”
He further thanked all his directors and writer for the year 2023. He thanked Rajkumar Hirani, Siddharth Anand and Atlee. He thanked Atlee for giving him the opportunity in Jawan. He also thanked his team for working with him tirelessly.
Shah Rukh Khan then thanked his wife, Gauri Khan and his kids, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam for giving him so much love and care as if he is the kid in the house. He said that the award is a reminder that acting is a responsibility. He also added that he is thankful to all his fans for loving him and even said that he cannot give his iconic pose as he is injured but is giving half hug to everyone. He also promised to be back on-screens soon.
