Prabhas and Triptii Dimri’s Spirit Begins Filming This September, Sandeep Reddy Vanga Predicts Rs 150 Crore Opening Day
After delivering a blockbuster like Animal, filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga is all set to kick off his next high-stakes project Spirit with Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. The much-anticipated film will go on floors this September. Backed by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit marks Prabhas’s 25th film and is reportedly being mounted on a massive budget.
Spirit To Go On Floors in Sept with Back To Back Schedules
The announcement came during a recent chat with Vijay Deverakonda and filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri on the Sithara Entertainments YouTube channel. Sandeep revealed that Spirit will have back-to-back schedules and a non-stop shooting plan once it hits the floors.
According to Rangasthalam, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has already wrapped the musical compositions for Spirit in collaboration with composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar.
Meanwhile, preparations for the film’s action sequences are in full swing. A source close to the production revealed, “Sandeep Reddy Vanga wants to shoot for Spirit in a certain way and has requested Prabhas to acquire a lean physique. The idea is to ensure most stunts are performed by Prabhas himself. The Rebel Star is excited about the challenge and is working closely with Sandeep to mold himself into the character.”
Triptii Dimri Replaces Deepika Padukone as the Female Lead
Spirit made headlines earlier this year when Deepika Padukone exited the film following reported disagreements over working hours and compensation. Industry chatter suggested that Deepika was pushing for a strict eight-hour workday, a demand the production couldn’t accommodate due to the film’s scale.
Soon after, Triptii Dimri was brought on board to play the female lead. Coming off the massive success of Animal, where her performance gained widespread attention, Triptii’s pairing with Prabhas has sparked strong buzz online.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga Expresses Strong Confidence in Spirit
In a recent statement, Vanga expressed strong confidence in the film’s commercial prospects:
“I feel Spirit producer is safe. With *Prabhas and my combination along with satellite and digital rights, we can recover our budget there itself. If everything goes well with the teaser, trailer and songs, opening day would be 150 cr.”
