Hrithik Roshan And Jr NTR’s Hindi Version Is LONGER Than Tamil And Telugu Cuts, Set To Feature Extra Cameo End Credit Scene
With its release just around the corner, the final details for the action epic War 2 are being locked in. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially certified the film, and the final runtimes for the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions have been confirmed, revealing an interesting difference for the audience.
The film, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, has received a ‘UA’ 16+ certificate across all languages. However, the Hindi version of the film will be slightly longer than the versions released in the South.
Official Runtimes For All Versions
The CBFC has confirmed the exact length of each version of the film. The difference in length, while minor, confirms that the Hindi-speaking audience will get to see additional footage that will not be present in the Tamil and Telugu cuts.
Here is the official breakdown of the War 2 runtime:
- Hindi Version: 2 hours, 53 minutes, and 24 seconds.
- Telugu Version: 2 hours, 51 minutes, and 44 seconds.
- Tamil Version: 2 hours, 51 minutes, and 44 seconds.
This means the Hindi version is exactly 1 minute and 40 seconds longer than the other two. The reason for this extra footage has not been officially announced by the producers, Yash Raj Films. It could be anything from extended dialogues to a potential post-credit scene, but this is currently just speculation.
What the ‘UA’ 16+ Certificate Means
War 2 has been given a ‘UA’ 16+ certificate. The ‘UA’ rating stands for “Unrestricted Public Exhibition – but with a word of caution.” In simple terms, this means that anyone can watch the film, but it is advised that children under the age of 12 view it under parental guidance.
The “16+” is a newer sub-category introduced by the CBFC. This specific rating suggests that the film contains themes, action, or content that is most suitable for audiences who are 16 years of age or older. It serves as a stronger advisory for parents to help them decide if the film is appropriate for their younger children. This certification ensures that the film can have a wide release while still providing clear guidance to the audience about its content.
