GHMC appoints nodal officers for Jubilee Hills by-poll

GHMC Commissioner and Hyderabad District Election Officer RV Karnan has appointed senior officials as nodal officers for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-poll. Their responsibilities include manpower, law and order, MCC enforcement, EVM management, cyber security and election-related complaints

Hyderabad: The GHMC Commissioner and Hyderabad District Election Officer RV Karnan on Monday appointed senior officials from different GHMC wings as nodal officers for the upcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency by-poll.

Anurag Jayanthi, Zonal Commissioner, Khairatabad, was named nodal officer for manpower assessment, while Apurva Chauhan, Zonal Commissioner, Kukatpally, was appointed to manage EVMs and VVPATs.

M Sudershan, Additional SP (Intelligence), will oversee implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, defacement of property and other campaign-related issues. Narasimha Reddy, DSP, GHMC, will handle law and order. Joint Commissioner (IT) C Radha will manage cyber security, IT, webcasting and helpline complaints.

Nearly 15 senior GHMC officials have been entrusted with responsibilities relating to the by-poll.
