Did Swara Bhaskar and husband Fahad Ahmad just say they are BISEXUAL? Netizens react to viral video, say ‘Bhagwan kare…’
Swara Bhasker recently raised eyebrows after her bold statement during an interview, which caused a stir over the internet. Scroll down to know what she said.
Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar, along with her husband, Fahad Ahmad, made a daring statement in a recent interview- “We are all bisexuals.” They also said that heterosexuality is an imposed idea. She had casually said how much she admired Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav. Swara Bhaskar was open about her views on caste, class, and gender. This has occasionally caused her to face criticism from the public. However, she was praised for her roles in Raanjhanaa and Anarkali of Aarah. Swara Bhaskar and her husband and SP leader Fahad Ahmad, are now appearing on the show Pati Patni Aur Panga – Jodiyon Ka Reality Check, presented by Munawar Faruqui and Sonali Bendre.
What did Swara Bhaskar say?
Swara, along with her husband Fahad Ahmad said during an interview with SCREEN, “If you leave people to themselves, we are actually bisexual, but heterosexuality is an ideology that has been put on us for thousands of years. Because the human race will perpetuate, so it has to be the norm.” The anchor joked with Fahad that he should cover his ears as Swara went on to say, “I have a crush on Dimple Yadav ji.”
“Everyone is Bisexual. I have a crush on Dimple Yadav”
Swara’s statements drew largely negative reactions from online users, many of whom linked them to her political aspirations with the Samajwadi Party. One user wrote, “Ab ye samajwadi party me ticket ke liye efforts kar rhe hai.. Bhagwan kare Akhilesh bhaiya ise Gorakhpur se khada karde,” another said, “It’s not “we”, it’s only “she”. She is bisexual or whatever.”
A third user wrote, “Where do these hypocrites get the courage to speak for everyone?”
When Swara Bhaskar gave it back to troll calling her husband…
Swara has recently made news when she retaliated against a troll who made fun of her politician husband, Fahad Ahmad. Fahad had been referred to by an X user as a “street vendor from Dongri” and a “chhapri.”
Swara responded sharply: “This twit, who describes himself both as a proud Hindu and Ambedkarite, does not seem to know that ‘chhapri’ is a casteist slang, a derogatory term used to describe a community that fixes ‘chhappars’ or thatched huts. Also, there is nothing wrong with being a street vendor from Dongri or anywhere else, you casteist/classist trash-brain! #CasteistAlert.”
