Now, a year later, Hailey revealed how scary the experience was, stating that she almost had a near-death experience. She explained how her amniotic fluid leaked during childbirth and that she bled excessively after her child’s birth.
In a conversation with Vogue Italia, Hailey revealed that after her amniotic fluid leaked prematurely, she was rushed to the doctor, who then decided to induce labour using oxytocin. She also mentioned that the doctors used “a Foley balloon, a catheter-like device inserted into the uterus and inflated with a saline solution to dilate the cervix.”

“It was the most painful thing I’ve ever endured. Then Jack arrived in all his eight-pound glory,” she recalled.

However, that wasn’t the end of her misery, the real scary part actually came post-childbirth. Hailey shared how she started bleeding excessively, and the doctors explained that it happens to one in five women. “I had complete faith in my doctor, so I was at peace, knowing he would never let anything bad happen to me. But I was bleeding a lot, and people die, and that’s a thought that crosses your mind,” she said.
Recalling Justin’s reaction, she added, “Suddenly, your partner sees you as a goddess, a superhero.”
