US retail sales up 3.9% YoY in Jun 2025: Census Bureau


Such sales were revised to a 0.9-per cent drop MoM in May.
The June rebound was more than expected, but some of the increase likely reflected higher prices for some goods exposed to tariffs.
US retail sales rose to $720.1 billion in June this year—up by 0.6 per cent month on month (MoM) and 3.9 per cent YoY, according to advanced estimates by the Census Bureau.
Such sales were revised to a 0.9-per cent drop MoM in May.
Core retail sales increased by 0.5 per cent last month after a downwardly revision 0.2 per cent in May.
Sales of non-store retailers were up by 4.5 per cent YoY.
Core retail sales, excluding automobiles, gasoline, building materials and food services, increased by 0.5 per cent last month after a downwardly revision 0.2 per cent in May.
Sales of non-store retailers were up by 4.5 per cent YoY in the month.
