President Donald Trump has confirmed that the US has struck a new trade agreement with Indonesia, though full details are yet to be disclosed. Posting on his Truth Social account, Trump described the deal as a “great” outcome achieved through direct negotiations with Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto.

“Great deal, for everybody, just made with Indonesia. I dealt directly with their highly respected President. DETAILS TO FOLLOW!!!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account today.

President Trump has announced a new trade deal with Indonesia after threatening a 32 per cent tariff on its imports from August 1.
The agreement follows direct talks between Trump and Indonesia’s President.
It is the fourth such deal in recent weeks, alongside Vietnam, the UK, and China.
Trump has unveiled new reciprocal tariff rates affecting multiple countries including Sri Lanka, Canada and Brazil.

The announcement follows a tense week in which Trump warned of a potential 32 per cent tariff on Indonesian imports starting August 1. In response, Indonesia dispatched its top trade envoy to Washington for urgent talks with senior US officials, culminating in the agreement.

This marks the fourth trade framework Trump has revealed in recent weeks, following similar announcements involving Vietnam, the UK, and a tariff pause with China.

Trump has so far introduced revised reciprocal tariff rates for countries including Japan, South Korea, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Brunei, Moldova, Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Canada, Brazil, Mexico and the EU among others.
