India’s time has come and the youth must think big to support this rise, says Dalmia Bharat CEO

India’s rise is here and real and it is for graduates to come together to make it a reality, Puneet Dalmia, MD & CEO, Dalmia Bharat, said on Sunday.
“The idea of a rising India and the time for thinking big have come together for graduates to leverage their career potential with a careful blend of ancient wisdom and modern technology,” he said, while delivering the 39th Convocation Day address at SASTRA Deemed University on August 17 at Thanjavur.
“India’s transition from a a fragile economy to the fourth largest economy is a signal for responsible growth and sustainable development which needs to be enriched with financial & human capital, both of which are in the rising curve” he added.
Dalmia encouraged graduates to think big, take risk and remain humble in their career development path. He also stressed on the need to align the multidisciplinary growth in IT, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Semiconductor & Electronics and Agriculture sectors with Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Over 4,200 students were conferred UG, PG & Ph.D., degrees in Engineering, Sciences, Management, Law, Educations & Arts as part of the convocation ceremony.
Best doctoral thesis awards
The Founder-Chancellor’s best doctoral thesis awards for Engineering, Sciences and non-STEM disciplines were awarded to Dr.Jayanth Sharma, Dr.S.Harshavardhan & Dr.Amrith Bhargav respectively .
Adhappan Vishnu (CSE) and Lalitha Tejaswi (CS – AI & DS) were adjudged the Best Outgoing B.Tech.Graduate Awards in Boys & Girls Category respectively.
The event was presided over by Chancellor Prof R.Sethuraman and Dr S.Vaidhyasubramaniam, Vice-Chancellor of SASTRA delivered the welcome address and presented the annual report.
