Uttarakhand Man wins Rs 1 crore on Amitabh Bachchan’s show, targets Rs 7 crore
Aditya Kumar from Uttarakhand is gonna be the first contestant of the season to win Rs 1 crore. Now, he is risking all to face the Rs 7 crore question.
Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17 kicks off on August 11 and is hosted by none other than Amitabh Bachchan. The new season has barely started, but it is already bringing some really exciting moments. In just the first week of the show, there’s gonna be a contestant who wins a crore – the show’s first crorepati.
What did the new promo show?
As per the new promo from Sony TV, Aditya Kumar from Uttarakhand is gonna be the first contestant of the season to win Rs 1 crore. And he’s gonna go for the big one – he’ll face the Rs 7 crore question. Whether he’ll make history by winning that huge amount or end up taking home less money is something we’ll find out in the next episode.

What did Aditya tell Amitabh Bachchan?
In the teaser, Aditya tells a funny story about Amitabh Bachchan about how he played a prank on his friends back in college. It sounds like it was a pretty hilarious moment, and said, ‘During my college days, I had told all my friends that I was selected for KBC, and I played this prank for an entire week, where I told them that the KBC team would come to shoot a video in a week, so everyone got ready. Someone got a new pair of pants made, and someone bought a new shirt. After a week, when they asked me why no one came, that’s when I told them I was joking.’
What did Aditya say?
Aditya further said, ‘This time, when I got a call from the show, no one believed me. When I showed them the message, that’s when they figured that this time it was true.’ To that, Big B responded, You just didn’t reach the show, you have also come very far in the game now.’
The promo then shows Aditya answering the Rs 1 crore question correctly and moving on to the last question of the season – the 16th question. Aditya says he’s willing to take the risk, and he’s gonna go for the Rs 7 crore jackpot. This makes him the first contestant of the year to get to that super big milestone.
