Both of them served in Indian Army as doctors. The actress has often spoken about her parents and how she can connect with military families. In one of her social media posts, she had written, Both my parents served in the Indian Army… and maybe that’s why I feel such a kinship with military families all over the world. Today let’s think of all the fallen heroes that have given their lives in service to protect our freedom.

Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma’s father is Colonel (retired) Ajay Kumar Sharma. In one of the interviews with TOI, she once revealed that she was just 11 when her father fought in Kargil War. She was also quoted saying, I take pride in saying that I am an army officer’s daughter even more than being an actor.

Disha Patani

The Baaghi actress’ father is retired SP Jagadish Singh Patani. He may not have been in army, but he has equally served the nation and she is a proud daughter.
