Hrithik Roshan’s film War 2 hit theatres, and fans are shocked to see the physique of the actor. Now, his personal trainer has revealed his workout routine.

Hrithik Roshan’s most anticipated film, War 2, hit theatres on August 14, and many are praising him for his action and physique despite his age. It’s hard to believe that the Greek God of Bollywood is 51. Many were shocked by the actor’s transformation for War 2, with broad shoulders, muscular arms, and a V-tapered frame getting a lot of attention. Fans are really loving it and can’t get enough of it. However, to get such a physique, it takes hard work, training, dedication and proper diet. Now his personal trainer, Swapneel Hazare, has revealed Hrithik Roshan’s training routine.

What did Swapneel Hazare say during the interview?

During an interview with Health Shots, Swapneel Hazare shared that his mission wasn’t to reinvent but to elevate Hrithik’s body and said, ‘The core objective was to elevate the character, not reinvent him. We wanted to retain the iconic silhouette but bring more mass, more strength, and a more imposing screen presence.’ According to Hrithik Roshan’s trainer, the focus for his physique in War 2 was on building bigger delts, making his arms look fuller, and getting a tightly cinched waist. All this was to enhance the V-taper look, which is kind of a classic look for action heroes.

What did Hritik Roshan follow?

The fitness plan for Hrithik Roshan was based on a classic four-day workout split. Each day focused on a different set of muscle groups. Day one was for chest, day two was for back, day three targeted legs, and day four was all about arms – both biceps and triceps. This way of structuring the workouts meant that each muscle group got a lot of focus and also got proper rest.

Why did Hritik Roshan add cardio?

In addition to weight training, Hrithik Roshan did steady-state cardio to keep his body fat low. But according to his trainer, it wasn’t just about burning calories. The cardio also helped improve his agility, helped him recover better, and made sure his movements looked sharp when he’s on camera. His trainer also says that functional drills and mobility work were big parts of his training, too.

According to Swapneel, the actor had to deal with things like slower recovery times, changes in his hormones, and some old injuries. Because of that, instead of doing heavy lifts, they went with methods that were easier on his joints, like supersets, drop sets, and doing lots of reps. They also did two mobility routines each day to help with the dance and fight scenes in the movie.
