Indian polyester yarn falls on payment constraints, viscose holds firm

Polyester-cotton and polyester yarn prices eased in Ludhiana and Surat due to weak demand and payment constraints, while Mumbai’s viscose yarn gained on higher mill rates.
Surat saw better demand for fancy yarns, but standard products lagged.
In north India, cotton prices rose on stronger ICE cotton despite low arrivals and weak mill demand, with new crop expected two weeks late but in good condition.
