A representative from a leading multiplex chain, speaking on the condition of anonymity, stated, “Coolie is doing well in the tier 2 and tier 3 centres, and hence we are increasing the shows for the film. There is a demand in the audience, and as service providers, we just have to match that.”
The sentiment is echoed even by smaller theatre owners. One exhibitor with a two-screen property revealed, “We had strict orders from YRF not to give a single show to Coolie. However, we have now managed to get 2 shows of Coolie at our property, due to the audience demand, and it has started to sell tickets as well.” This ground-level feedback confirms that fan demand is directly influencing programming decisions.
The Impact On Opening Day Potential
This dynamic shift has significantly boosted Coolie‘s opening day prospects in the Hindi market. The film’s potential first-day capacity has reportedly increased by 60%, from an estimated ₹8 crore to ₹13 crore.
