Mohit Suri-directed romantic musical film Saiyaara featuring Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday seems to be winning millions of hearts with its storyline. Saiyaara seems not to stop and the film continues to soar at the box office. The debutants have become overnight stars and are enjoying massive attention. The film has managed to gross Rs 507 crore worldwide in just 18 days and has become the fastest entry into the Rs 500 crore club.
Saiyaara has become the highest-grossing love story of Hindi Cinema
Saiyaara has become Mohit Suri’s first film to enter the Rs 500 crore club. Ahaan and Aneet have become the first debutants in Indian cinema history to achieve this major benchmark. Saiyaara has officially become the highest-grossing love story in the history of Indian cinema, which has even overtaken Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh, which had a lifetime collection of Rs 368 crore.
As per a press release issued by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara has managed to earn Rs 376 crore at the domestic box office in just 18 days with an additional Rs 131 crore from overseas markets. The total collection of Saiyaara is around Rs 507 crore and has become the second-highest-grossing Indian film of the year. Saiyaara has surpassed Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava, which has earned Rs 807.91 crore worldwide.
Saiyaara has also surpassed the lifetime earnings of Hrithik Roshan’s War (Rs 471 crore) and Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 (Rs 464 crore). It has also outperformed Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, which earned Rs 454 crore globally. Saiyaara is Rs 36 crore away from crossing Pathaan’s worldwide collections. Saiyaara is already dominating the box office and has been ruling hearts.
Saiyaara is a story of Krish Kapur (Ahaan), an egotistical, short-tempered musician who is searching for a big break. He meets Vaani (Aneet), a shy, aspiring journalist recovering from heartbreak. Krish chanced upon her diary filled with poetry and turned them into songs, which became a superhit. The two fall in love, but destiny has other plans.
