50 Delhi Schools Get Bomb Threats via Email, Police Launch Search Op
New Delhi, Aug 20: Nearly 50 schools in the national capital received bomb threats through e-mail on Wednesday, triggering large-scale search operations by police and emergency agencies, officials said. The schools include Rahul Model School and Maxfort School in Dwarka, SKV in Malviya Nagar, and Andhra School in Prasad Nagar. Delhi Fire Services said it received alerts from SKV and Andhra School at 7:40 a.m. and 7:42 a.m. Police teams, fire personnel, and bomb disposal squads rushed to the schools, but no explosives have been found so far.
The threats come just two days after 32 schools in Delhi received similar hoax e-mails on August 18. (Agencies)
