3.5 magnitude earthquake hits J&K’s Kupwara

SRINAGAR, Aug 21: An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale struck Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara on Thursday afternoon.

The earthquake struck at around 1.40 pm at a depth of 5 km, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

“EQ of M: 3.5, On: 21/08/2025 13:41:33 IST, Lat: 34.68 N, Long: 74.39 E, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir,” NCS posted on X.
